A crude bomb exploded in the capital's Eskaton area this morning, injuring a pedestrian.
The blast occurred shortly after 8:00am in front of the Waqf Building, said Sazzad Hossain, inspector (investigation) of Hatirjheel Police Station.
The injured man, identified as Abdul Bashir, works at a private firm and was on way to his office when the blast occurred.
"We received information that a man named Bashir was injured after an unidentified individual hurled a crude bomb," Inspector Sazzad said.
He added that police are investigating the incident.
