First teaser drops for The Devil Wears Prada 2
The first teaser for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been released, offering a glimpse of the much-anticipated sequel to the 2006 hit. In the 52-second clip, Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly confidently strides through the halls of Runway in striking red stilettos, only to be joined in the elevator by her former assistant, Anne Hathaway's Andy Sachs. "Took you long enough," Priestly remarks, while Andy smirks and slips on black sunglasses.
The sequel will see Miranda Priestly navigating her career amid the decline of print journalism, facing off against Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), now a high-powered executive controlling vital advertising revenue. The film promises to explore the high-stakes world of fashion, power and ambition once more.
Returning cast members include Streep, Hathaway, Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman. The original film, a critical and commercial success, grossed $326 million worldwide and remains a cultural touchstone for its portrayal of ambition, fashion, and the cost of success. The sequel is expected to continue that legacy when it hits cinemas.
