Ambulance, bus set on fire in Sylhet

Unidentified miscreants torched a government ambulance inside Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital and an abandoned bus at Kumargaon Bus Stand early today, according to officials.
The ambulance was set on fire around 2:40am. Fire service units rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control.
Although no casualties were reported, the ambulance was completely destroyed.
Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, resident medical officer of the hospital, said CCTV footage showed a group of young men arriving on two motorcycles and setting the parked vehicle ablaze.
Meanwhile, around 3:00am, another group of miscreants torched an abandoned bus at the Kumargaon Bus Stand, said Mohammad Fazol Mia, leader of the Sylhet Fire Service Station.
Firefighters responded promptly and doused the flames before the fire could spread.
