Singer Shithi Saha discovered a shocking truth in 2022, when her doctors confirmed that cancer had taken root in her body. In that instant, her world seemed to crumble. At the time, she was pregnant. With unyielding mental strength and the blessings of her loved ones, she began her fight. Despite the risks, she went ahead and gave birth to her child.
Operations, chemotherapy, hair loss, physical pain — through it all, she held on to one unwavering belief: that light would return one day. Today, that very light shines through her — Shithi is completely recovered. Once lost in the depths of suffering, this artiste now stands tall as a symbol of inspiration for others.
That inspiration has led her to a new journey — a podcast titled "The Healing Room". Here, Shithi will listen to the stories of those who, like her, have overcome the darkest chapters of their lives. Those who have risen again from grief, illness, heartbreak, or loss — finding hope in a new beginning.
"For me, every new morning means a new inspiration," Shithi shared through a video message while announcing her very own podcast. "About two months ago, we announced this podcast with one simple belief — your story could be the reason someone else chooses to live."
In that time, many courageous individuals have come forward to share their stories of resilience — tales of standing tall after defeat and finding hope again. Very soon, we'll bring these inspiring stories of life's true fighters to encourage and empower others."
Shithi, who gave birth while battling cancer, recalled, "It was extremely risky for me, but I accepted it wholeheartedly. The Almighty helped me immensely."
Speaking about her diagnosis, she said, "I had breast cancer. In European countries, we see that around three to four per cent of women develop this disease. No one in my family had cancer, so I don't know what it means for the next generation. For those living abroad, routine tests are done every three or four years — I think that should be introduced in our country as well. It would be a great step forward. But there's no need to fear cancer. People are making comebacks even from stage three or four, and living happy, fulfilled lives — just like me."
Now, Shithi is ready to share her full story in "The Healing Room" podcast, which will soon be available on the YouTube channel Vibe News. The singer shared that after she announced the show, many people reached out, eager to share their own stories. Drawing from these heartfelt experiences, she is now preparing the episodes, which will soon be released on the channel.
