Popular Dhallywood actress Purnima has finally responded to the recent wave of speculation surrounding her marriage. The rumours began after one of her Facebook posts sparked assumptions that there might be trouble between her and her husband, Ashfaqur Rahman Robin.

On Saturday (October 25) afternoon, the actress addressed the matter directly through a new Facebook post, clarifying the intent behind her earlier statement. She also tagged her husband in the post.

In her clarification, Purnima stated that her previous post was not a reflection of any personal crisis but rather an expression inspired by her life experiences.

"In good times, one never runs short of friends – most of whom are opportunistic and artificial. They are always busy pursuing their own interests, and during difficult times, they disappear. That's what I meant through my earlier post," she wrote.

Explaining further, she added, "Every individual encounters various experiences in life, and my post was written from that perspective. At the end of the day, I'm also human. Like everyone else, I have people close and distant to me, and I too have faced fair-weather friends and the self-serving."

However, the actress expressed disappointment that many had misinterpreted her words. "Some people linked my post to my personal life without understanding its context. A few media outlets even published sensational headlines without verifying the truth, which left me both surprised and saddened," she wrote.

Purnima firmly stated, "My post had no connection to my family life. By everyone's prayers and love, we are doing very well."

Concluding her statement, she extended gratitude to her fans and the media: "Throughout my long career, I have received immense love from countless people at home and abroad, along with support from journalists. I hope their affection will continue in the days to come."
