Army chief urges ASC personnel to adopt modern training to meet 21st-century challenges
General Waker-uz-Zaman, chief of Army Staff, has called on all personnel of the Army Service Corps (ASC) to strengthen their capabilities through modern and relevant training, equipping them to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.
Speaking at the 44th ASC Commanders' Conference 2025, held at the ASC Centre and School (ASC C&S) in Jahanabad Cantonment, Khulna, today (11 November), he emphasised the importance of technological development, research, professional skill enhancement, and strategic future planning within the corps.
Upon his arrival, the Chief of Army Staff was received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC); the GOC of the 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Jessore Area; and the Commandant of ASC C&S.
Highlighting the proud heritage of the corps, General Waqar lauded the ASC's invaluable contributions to national service.
The conference was attended by other senior military officials.
