The 7th International Conference on Integrated Sciences (ICIS 2025) was held on Saturday at Eastern University, Ashulia Model Town, Dhaka, bringing together academics, researchers, and industry leaders from home and abroad to explore how artificial intelligence can be integrated across science, business, and Islamic paradigms.

The conference was jointly organised by Eastern University, Bangladesh, and the International Open University (IOU), The Gambia.

The inaugural session was presided over by Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, who emphasized the importance of embedding ethical and human values within advancements in science, business, and technology.

A special video message was shared by Professor Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips, Chancellor of IOU, The Gambia, and Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB).

Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), attended as chief guest, while Engr. Khandaker Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Member of the Board of Trustees, Eastern University, and Professor Dr. Abul Hasan M. Sadeq, Founding Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Asian University of Bangladesh, were present as Special Guests.

The event was also joined by the Vice Chancellors of Daffodil International University, City University, Manarat International University, and the Asian University of Bangladesh, alongside the Chief Adviser of Presidency University and Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahsan, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) of IOU. Niaz Rahim, Group Managing Director of Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Ltd., attended as a distinguished guest.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Imadur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited, who highlighted the transformative potential of AI in national development. Dr. Md. Musharrof Hossain, Advisor (HR) at icddr,b and President of the Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO), spoke as a Distinguished Speaker, underscoring the role of innovation and human resource development in the AI era.

The two-day conference featured multiple technical and parallel sessions on science, business, technology, and Islamic perspectives, providing a platform for academic collaboration and policy-oriented dialogue.

The conference was convened by Professor Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Head of the Department of Business Administration at IOU, The Gambia, and co-convened by Dr. Abu Bin Ihsan, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacy, Eastern University. Professor Dr. Afroza Bulbul, Director of Research and Publications at IOU, served as the Coordinator.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from the Organizing Committee to all guests, partner institutions, and participants for their contributions to the success of ICIS 2025.
