Unico Hospital PLC celebrated World Radiography Day 2025 on 8 November, marking the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen's discovery of X-rays in 1895—a breakthrough that revolutionised medical science.

This year's global theme, "Empowering Healthcare Through Imaging Excellence", highlighted the vital role of radiographers, radiological technologists and radiologists in advancing modern medicine and ensuring accurate diagnosis and high-quality patient care.

The event brought together radiology technologists, radiologists and medical professionals from across Bangladesh to recognise their contributions and share knowledge. A scientific session was also held, focusing on diagnostic imaging and recent technological advancements in radiology.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Brig Gen Dr Sharif Ahmed, Chief of Medical Services, as chief guest. Special guests included the Presidents of the Radiologist Society of Bangladesh and the Radiology and Imaging Technologist Society of Bangladesh, along with leaders from both public and private healthcare institutions.

The programme concluded with remarks from Unico Hospital PLC Chief Executive Officer, Ms Ardra Kurien, who reaffirmed the hospital's commitment to promoting excellence in medical imaging and continuous professional development among radiology professionals in Bangladesh.
