Southeast University (SEU) has achieved a historic milestone by making its debut in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, marking the institution's first-ever appearance in the globally recognised ranking system.

To celebrate this achievement, a special meeting was held on Thursday (6 November 2025) in the university's conference room, chaired by Professor Dr M Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of SEU.

According to the QS Asia Rankings 2026, SEU has been ranked 9th among private universities, 23rd among all universities in Bangladesh, 224th in Southern Asia, and placed within the 741–750 band in Asia.

Expressing his gratitude, Professor Mofazzal Hossain commended the faculty members and staff for their "tremendous hard work and unwavering dedication" that made this recognition possible. "This remarkable achievement marks SEU's step onto the global stage. Our debut in the QS Rankings is a reflection of our collective commitment to academic excellence and quality education," he said.

He emphasised the importance of continuous improvement to further enhance SEU's performance in future QS, Times Higher Education (THE), and other international rankings, aiming to strengthen its reputation as one of Bangladesh's leading higher education institutions.

The meeting was attended by the Registrar, Deans, Heads of Departments, senior professors, and university officials.
