Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have become parents for the first time, announcing the arrival of their baby girl on the same day they celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.

The couple shared the happy news on Saturday through a joint statement on Instagram, writing: "We are over the moon. God has blessed us with a baby girl. Blessed parents, Patralekhaa and Rajkummar." They captioned the announcement: "The greatest blessing God has given us on our 4th wedding anniversary."

The post was immediately flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow actors.

Rajkummar and Patralekhaa had revealed the pregnancy earlier in July, posting a sweet illustration of a cradle with the words "Baby on the way" and signing it with their names. They simply captioned the image: "Elated."

The couple, who dated for more than 11 years, married in an intimate ceremony on 15 November 2021. Their relationship, celebrated widely for its warmth and longevity, now enters a new chapter with the arrival of their daughter.
