Chattogram staged a strong fightback after early setbacks to post 340 for eight on the opening day of their National Cricket League 2025–26 fixture against Khulna on Saturday.

Pacer Sofor Ali provided the early breakthroughs, removing Parvez Hossain Emon for 18, Sadikur Rahman for 35 and Shahadat Hossain Dipu for a duck as Chattogram slipped to 99 for four. Shah Paran then counterattacked with a brisk 100-ball 91 to steady the innings, while Sazzadul Hoque and Irfan Shukkur contributed fifties. Sofor finished the day with four for 51 as Chattogram closed on 350 for eight.

At Cox's Bazar International Stadium, Amite Hasan led a lone resistance for Sylhet but fell short of a century, scoring 91 off 110 balls against Rangpur. After Sylhet were reduced to 37 for four in a rain-delayed start, Amite and Ashraful Hasan added 70 for the fifth wicket. Rejaur Rahman remained unbeaten on 28 as Sylhet ended the day on 172 for seven.

At Khulna Divisional Stadium, Rajshahi bowled out Barishal for 212, with Shafiqul Islam, Nihaduzzaman and Sunzamul Islam claiming two wickets each. Iftekhar Hossain Ifti made 40, while Mohammad Salman's 102-ball 58 anchored Barishal's innings. Rajshahi reached six without loss at stumps.

At Cox's Bazar Academy Ground, rain delayed play before Mymensingh reached 100 for two against Dhaka Division, led by Naim Sheikh's unbeaten 55.
