Rosé from the popular K-pop group Blackpink has achieved a major milestone at the Grammy Awards.

The 28-year-old singer has become the first K-pop artiste ever to receive nominations in the Grammys' top categories. These main categories are considered the most important awards at the ceremony and include prizes like album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year.

Rosé and American singer Bruno Mars received three nominations for their hit song "APT". The track is nominated for record of the year, song of the year, and best pop duo/group performance. Rosé shared, "I think it'll be a moment that proves to myself so many things that I grew up doubting. This achievement will mean a lot not just to me, but to many other people as well."

The singer has already won awards this year, including an MTV VMA for song of the year. "APT" performed very well on music charts, staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for 45 weeks. Her first solo album, called "Rosie", came out in December 2024 and reached number three on the Billboard 200 chart.

These Grammy nominations represent an important moment for K-pop music in America. The boy band BTS first brought K-pop to the Grammys in 2021 when they were nominated for their song "Dynamite". This year, other K-pop artiste also received nominations, showing that Korean pop music is becoming more popular in the United States.
