Janata Bank holds branch managers’ conference for Cumilla division
Janata Bank PLC held its Cumilla divisional branch managers' conference on Sunday (9 November 2025) at a local auditorium.
Md Fazlur Rahman, CSP, chairman of Janata Bank, attended the event as the chief guest. Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman attended as the special guest, while Deputy Managing Director Md Nazrul Islam was present as the honoured guest.
The conference was presided over by Ruhia Akhter, general manager of the Cumilla Divisional Office.
Executives and branch managers under the Cumilla Divisional Office participated in the event.
Earlier, the managing director inaugurated and conducted a session on financial literacy at the Bureau of Bangladesh Training Centre, Cumilla.
During the conference, Chairman Md Fazlur Rahman emphasised lending to good clients only after assessing their willingness to repay loans and ensuring timely recovery.
Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman urged officials to focus on mobilising low-cost deposits and intensifying efforts to recover defaulted loans.
He also instructed executives and officers to strictly adhere to the bank's policies and operational procedures.
