Emirates Group posts record $3.3b profit in first half of FY2025–26
The Emirates Group, comprising Emirates airline, dnata, and its other entities, has announced a new record half-year performance, posting a pre-tax profit of US$3.3 billion for the first six months of the 2025–26 financial year (April–September 2025).
This marks the fourth consecutive year of record profitability for the period.
After accounting for income tax charges, the Group's net profit stood at US$2.9 billion, up 13% year-on-year. The Group maintained a robust EBITDA of US$5.7 billion, a 3% rise from last year, while total revenue grew 4% to US$20.6 billion.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said, "This performance was primarily driven by the unflagging demand and growing customer preference for our product and services, which drove revenue growth and profitability."
He added, "Global demand for air transport and travel services has been buoyant, despite geo-political events and economic concerns in some markets. We expect this demand resilience to continue for the rest of 2025–26 and look forward to increasing our capacity as new A350 aircraft join the Emirates fleet and new facilities come online at dnata."
Emirates airline cemented its position as the world's most profitable carrier for the half-year period, posting a record pre-tax profit of US$3.1 billion, compared to US$2.6 billion a year ago. Its net profit rose 13% to US$2.7 billion, while revenue, including other operating income, climbed 6% to US$17.9 billion. Emirates SkyCargo transported 1.25 million tonnes of cargo during the six-month period, up 4% from last year.
The Group's aviation services arm, dnata, also delivered strong growth, achieving a record half-year revenue of US$3.2 billion, up 13% year-on-year, crossing the US$3 billion mark for the first time. dnata's pre-tax profit rose 17% to US$230 million, while net profit increased 22% to US$190 million, driven by expanded operations across cargo handling, catering, retail, and travel services.
The Emirates Group's employee base grew 3% to 124,927 as of 30 September 2025, compared to 31 March 2025, with both Emirates and dnata continuing active recruitment to support future growth.
