The benchmark index DSEX of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped at the opening day of this week, extending the losing streak for the sixth day.

The DSEX plunged by 68 points to close at 4,899 today (9 November), its lowest level since July. The blue-chip DS30 also dropped by 11 points to settle at 1,928.

Out of the traded stocks, 34 advanced, while 329 declined and 27 remained unchanged.

The turnover at the DSE slightly fell to Tk402 crore compared to the previous sessions.

In the past six sessions, the DSEX lost 223 points, and the market capitalisation decreased by Tk14,000 crore.
