Deepal launches plug-in hybrid S05 in Bangladesh
Deepal has officially launched its new plug-in hybrid model, the Deepal S05, in Bangladesh through its exclusive distributor DHS Autos. With its futuristic design, premium interior, and advanced intelligent features, the S05 aims to redefine the country's growing electric vehicle (EV) market.
The grand launch ceremony took place yesterday (8 November) at the Deepal Bangladesh showroom, located at Rangs Babylonia, Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka.
Powered by both a PHEV engine (4-cylinder, 16-valve VVT) and an electric motor delivering 160/218 HP and 320 Nm of torque, the S05 is equipped with a 27.28 kWh battery, offering an impressive range of up to 1,234 km on a full tank and full charge.
The S05 features an intelligent noise-free cabin with a wide range of smart technologies. Its Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), Remote Straight In & Out function, 540° camera view, and other safety features work together to ensure a secure and comfortable driving experience.
Inside, the Deepal S05 includes synthetic leather seats, a multifunction steering wheel, a front passenger gravity seat, and a 15.4-inch sunflower touchscreen display. The interior also features a 14-speaker sound system, rear AC vents, and a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade, adding to its luxury appeal. The S05 will be available in five colours — Moonlight White, Deep Space Black, Andromeda Blue, Mercury Silver, and Ganymede Grey.
Customers in Dhaka and Chattogram can now experience and purchase the Deepal S05. DHS Autos has established a charging network across 22 locations in Bangladesh, and each customer will receive a free home charger installation upon purchase. The S05 comes with an 8-year warranty on the EV motor and battery, a 5-year general warranty (terms and conditions apply), and 3 years of free service.
The event was attended by Guan Xin, vice-president (design), Changan Southeast Asia; Du Kaijian, sales manager, Changan Southeast Asia; Shoeb Ahmed, divisional director, DHS Autos; Shihab Ahmed, chief operating officer; and Alfat Hossain Khan, head of sales, DHS Autos, among others.
