Daffodil Computers to convert Tk49cr loan into 3.26 crore shares
Daffodil Computers has announced that it will issue 3.26 crore fresh shares at Tk15 each to convert a Tk49.03 crore loan from its associate firm, which is also the concern of Daffodil Group, into equity shares.
The decision was made at a board meeting yesterday (10 November), the company said in a price-sensitive disclosure filed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) today.
The share conversion is subject to approval from the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
The company has also scheduled an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) for 29 December to get the shareholders' approval. The record date for the EGM has been set for 2 December 2025.
Earlier, in December 2024, Daffodil Computers had planned to issue fresh shares at Tk10 each to convert loans from Daffodil Family businesses into equity. However, the BSEC did not approve that proposal at the time.
