Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has directed all airports in the country to remain alert considering the ongoing violence and acts of sabotage across the country.

A letter in this regard was sent today from the CAAB headquarters to all airports.

The letter said that all airports must ensure round-the-clock monitoring through CCTV cameras.

In addition, all kinds of patrolling and monitoring systems in airport areas have been intensified.

Necessary preparations have also been made to take immediate measures to deal with any possible untoward situation.

Besides, all airports have been instructed to deploy the maximum number of security personnel. Overall fire surveillance activities have also been strengthened so that quick response can be ensured in case of emergency.

Assistant Director (Public Relations) Muhammad Kawsar Mahmud said, "Ensuring passengers' safety is our top priority. In the public interest, everyone has been urged to remain vigilant and work in coordination with the concerned security agencies. In this regard, letters have been sent from the CAAB headquarters to all airports to take necessary measures."
