Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are officially reuniting for a fourth instalment of 'The Mummy', with directing duo 'Radio Silence'—Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett—set to helm the project.

The film marks a long-awaited return to the beloved 1999 reboot that turned Fraser into a household name and action icon. Weisz co-starred in the first two films before departing the series, while Fraser continued through 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'.

Universal Pictures has yet to comment on production details or release plans.

Following a career resurgence with his Oscar-winning performance in 'The Whale', Fraser had previously expressed interest in returning as Rick O'Connell—if the right story came along.

With Radio Silence now leading the revival, fans can expect a fresh yet nostalgic take on the classic adventure.
