Bangladesh women’s volleyball team to compete in cava cup 2025
The Bangladesh Women's Volleyball Team will take part in the CAVA Cup for Women 2025, scheduled to be held in Malé, Maldives, from 19 to 25 December 2025.
The national team will depart for Malé on 17 December after completing a four-month training camp at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP). The team will be led by captain Most Sabina Khatun.
The tournament will feature teams from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Turkmenistan and Bangladesh, making it a highly competitive regional event.
Faruque Hassan, President of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), said the federation was extending full support to the team. He has provided three sets of official kits and other assistance to ensure proper preparation.
He noted that this would be the first time Bangladesh's women's volleyball team would compete abroad and said the team's preparations had been satisfactory. Expressing optimism, he said he hoped the team would return home with the title and sought support and prayers from the nation.
Sharmin Hassan Tithi, Chairman of the Bangladesh Volleyball Women's Committee, said she had been closely supporting the team throughout its preparations. She added that, with structured training and strong determination, the team was ready to compete in the CAVA Cup 2025.
