Asian Motorspex Ltd, the exclusive distributor of Chery vehicles in Bangladesh, has officially launched the Chery Tiggo 9 Pro PHEV, marking the brand's entry into the country's premium plug-in hybrid SUV market.

The flagship model combines elegance, powerful performance and environmentally friendly technology. The launch event was held at Chery's official showroom in the Tejgaon industrial area of Dhaka.

The ceremony was attended by Dewan Sajedur Rahman, managing director of Asian Motorspex Ltd; Dewan Saeedur Rahman, director; Abu Mahmud Naser, head of sales, Chery Bangladesh; and other senior officials.

In his keynote address, Dewan Sajedur Rahman said, "By introducing advanced hybrid technology in Bangladesh, we are offering an innovative solution for environmentally conscious customers. The Tiggo 9 Pro PHEV is designed to balance luxury and performance while reducing carbon emissions. We believe this car will set a new benchmark in the country's premium SUV segment."

Powered by a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, plug-in hybrid AWD system, and 8-speed Aisin Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT), the Tiggo 9 Pro PHEV delivers 375kW (502bhp) of power and 750Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. The vehicle offers a total driving range of 1,380 kilometres.

Inside, the SUV features a 15.6-inch 2.5K HD touchscreen, a Sony 14-speaker high-fidelity surround sound system, and seven Nappa leather seats. Comfort amenities include massage seats with heating and cooling functions, dual-zone climate control, a sliding panoramic roof, and a heated steering wheel.

On the safety front, it comes with an ANCAP-approved chassis with 85% high-strength steel, multiple airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, a 540-degree panoramic camera, and transparent off-road view technology.

Designed under the Golden Ratio concept, the Tiggo 9 Pro PHEV features upgraded styling for the Tiggo family, measuring 4,810mm in length, 1,925mm in width, and 1,741mm in height. The 20-inch polished alloy wheels and tiger-eye patterned grille add to its premium look.

Each vehicle comes with a free 22kW home fast charger for convenient domestic charging, an eight-year or 160,000km warranty (conditions apply), and a buy-back offer.
