The incident occurred around 3:30am, when a bus of Hishab Paribahan parked beside the Dhaka–Aricha Highway near the Phulbaria Bus Stand area caught fire.
No casualties were reported. Officials suspect that miscreants set the vehicles ablaze.
According to police, the bus was standing in the service lane when it was set on fire.
Two units of the Savar Fire Service and Civil Defence Station reached the spot soon after receiving the call at 3:44am and brought the blaze under control.

"Locals informed us that someone might have set the bus on fire and fled, as the bus was parked at the spot," he said.
A Highway Police official, quoting residents, said miscreants took advantage of a quiet moment during the night, ignited the parked bus and escaped.
Members of the Fire Service later extinguished the blaze. Savar Model Police Station is investigating the incident.
Attempts to reach Md Jewel Miah, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, for comment were unsuccessful.
