Bangladeshi filmmaker Amitabh Reza Chowdhury has been in New York, USA, for several months. In March this year, he announced the launch of a virtual film school titled "Cinema Pathshala" from abroad.

On Friday, it was confirmed that the director is set to get married. The wedding ceremony will take place tomorrow morning, local time in New York. The bride-to-be is Mushficaa Maasud, a screenwriter and director by profession. Both Amitabh and Mushficaa have confirmed their marriage to Prothom Alo.

Sharing a photograph of the couple on Facebook, Amitabh Reza wrote, "Sometimes a fellow traveller, sometimes a comrade in battle, but I never imagined I would spend my life with someone even sassier than me. Ah, life…"

Several figures from the entertainment industry have commented under the post, congratulating the couple.

Speaking to Prothom Alo about Amitabh, Mushficaa said, "Amitabh is truly a wonderful human being—exceptionally talented and a brilliant filmmaker. We speak the same language. Honestly, the way he loves… I never imagined a Bengali could love like this. His love is what taught me how to love."

Earlier, in a Facebook post about Amitabh, Mushficaa wrote, "Only one person resides deep within my soul… and that is you." Sharing another photo, she captioned it, "Together, we are astonishingly strong." In the comments, Amitabh replied, "You are my beauty, my life… my Charlie Chaplin." Mushficaa responded, "And you are my Wong Kar-wai."

Mushficaa Maasud holds a law degree from Liverpool John Moores University in the UK. She later studied Post Production at Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema in New York, followed by Film Production at Brooklyn College. Her short film "The Anniversary" won a USD 10,000 award at a film festival in the United States.
