AIBL donates Tk8 lakh to Dhaka national medical college
Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC has donated Tk8 lakh to Dhaka National Medical College under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
The donation will be used to purchase surgical equipment for the college's urology department and dental chairs for its dental unit, the bank said.
The cheque was handed over by Mohammad Rafat Ullah Khan, Acting Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank, to Professor Dr Md Shamsur Rahman, Principal of Dhaka National Medical College, at a ceremony held at the college on 15 December.
Also present at the event were Dr Md Afzal Hossain, Vice Principal of the college; Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Deputy Managing Director of the bank; Md Idris Ali, Senior Executive Vice President; Jalal Ahmed, Executive Vice President; and other senior officials of both institutions.
