Abul Khair Group celebrates academic excellence of employees’ children
Abul Khair Group has honoured the children of its employees who achieved GPA-5 in this year's SSC and HSC examinations. As in previous years, the country's leading industrial conglomerate organised a grand ceremony to celebrate the young achievers.
A total of 65 meritorious students were recognised at a colourful event titled "You Are the Builders of Tomorrow's Bangladesh" held on Sunday (9 November) at the National Shooting Club Auditorium in Dhaka. Among them, 44 students were from the secondary level and 21 from the higher secondary level.
Abul Khair Group's Brand Marketing Director Naushad Chowdhury attended the event as chief guest, while renowned educator and Ten Minute School Founder and CEO Ayman Sadiq was present as special guest. Also in attendance were Brig Gen (retd) Mohammed Mamun, executive director; Sheikh Shabab Ahmed, head of corporate affairs and legal; Saad Jasim, divisional head of HR; and Md Nurul Afsar, assistant general manager (HR), along with other senior officials of the group.
Speaking at the event, Naushad Chowdhury said, "Today, we celebrate the success of our family members. This day holds great significance for us. Every generation faces its own challenges, and the world is undergoing major transformations. In this changing time, young people must plan for higher education aligned with technological advancement."
He added, "Today, skills are valued more than degrees — young people should focus on developing their abilities accordingly."
Brig Gen (retd) Mohammed Mamun told the students, "There is no shortcut to success. Determination and perseverance are essential to achieving one's goals."
Divisional HR Head Saad Jasim encouraged the youth to develop multiple skills to thrive in the future, while special guest Ayman Sadiq said, "This year, even passing the exams was a challenge — so those who earned GPA-5 are truly exceptional." He urged parents to nurture their children with care and advised students to continue learning new skills to adapt to the changing world.
Each awardee received a crest, gift, and certificate from Abul Khair Group. The event was attended by the achievers, their parents, and teachers.
Organisers also announced that a similar event will soon be held in Chattogram.
