Sixty aspirants have so far collected National Citizen Party nomination forms since the party began selling them yesterday.

 Saifullah Haidar, member of NCP's central election management committee, confirmed this to The Daily Star this evening.

He said after the announcement, between 6:00pm Thursday, and 7:00pm Friday, a total of 57 forms were sold.

So far, NCP's central organiser and district coordinator, Shawkat Ali of Narayanganj-5, and central committee joint chief organiser Md Ataullah of Brahmanbaria-3 have collected nomination forms from the party's central committee.

He said that leaders from different district-level committees, including those outside the central committee, have also collected forms. Aspiring candidates from Dhaka-18, Dhaka-14, Faridpur-4, Kishoreganj-2, Kurigram-3 and 4, Rajbari-2, Jhalakathi-1, and Cox's Bazar-2 constituencies have collected forms as well.

Saifullah said, "We expect the number to increase within the next couple of days. Other central-level leaders will also collect forms soon."
