A man and a woman were found dead in two separate locations of Chattogram's Hathazari upazila today.

Police said the identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately.

The man's body was recovered around 10:00am near Jinnurain Madrasa Road in front of the Hathazari Municipality office, said Hathazari Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Manjur Quader.

The body of the woman was recovered from near the sluice gate of a canal in the Madunaghat area, the OC said.

"The man's body bore an injury mark on the face, while the woman's body was already decomposed," he added.

Both the bodies have been sent to Chattogram Medical College morgue for autopsy.

Police are working to identify the victims and determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths, the OC said.
