State-owned Rupali Bank PLC paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War of 1971 by laying wreaths at the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar on the occasion of the Great Victory Day.

Managing Director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam laid the wreath at the memorial on Tuesday morning, 16 December. Deputy Managing Director Hasan Tanvir was also present.

Earlier, the bank formally began its Victory Day observance by hoisting the national flag.

Among others, general managers Mohammad Shahjahan Chowdhury, Mohammad Safayet Hossain, Md Moinuddin Masud, Md Noman Mia, Abu Naser Md Masud and Tanvir Hasnain Moin, along with Chief Information Technology Officer Md Ohidul Islam Sarkar and officers and employees from all levels of the bank, were present during the programme.
