A remarkable sight unfolded in the Indian part of the Sundarbans yesterday (17 November) – three Bengal tigers appearing together in a single frame.

Tourists' cameras captured this rare and extraordinary moment inside the forest.

A team of three – Aavinanandan Roy from Assam, Kolkata-based photographer Francis Naik and Jharkhali's Tanmoy Mondal – set out on a launch from the Jharkhali ferry ghat yesterday morning for a trip into the Sundarbans.

They said that as they approached Deul Bharani, they suddenly witnessed three Bengal tigers together.

According to them, the moment was mesmerising: the three tigers, seemingly relaxed and playful, were swimming through the creek before slowly making their way across to the opposite bank.

The trio captured the scene in their cameras. To them, it was more than a visual spectacle; it was a living testimony to the strength, freedom and beauty of the Sundarbans' wildlife.
