Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASAD) President Hasanul Haq Inu has appealed for a live television broadcast of the proceedings in a crimes against humanity case in which he faces eight charges, including incitement and conspiracy, over the killing of six people in Kushtia during the July Uprising.

Inu submitted the application through his lawyer, Mansurul Haque Chowdhury, to International Crimes Tribunal-2, headed by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, seeking permission for the trial to be aired live. The tribunal is expected to issue further directives after hearing arguments on the matter.

The prosecution hearing is being conducted by Prosecutor Mizanul Islam, assisted by Prosecutor Faruque Ahmed and others.
