Home Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam today (16 December) paid tribute to martyred police members on the occasion of Victory Day.

They laid wreaths at the Razarbagh Police Lines Memorial in the capital around 8am.

The home adviser was the first to place a wreath at the memorial. Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Md Khoda Bakhsh Chowdhury was present at the time.

Later, IGP Baharul Alam, on behalf of Bangladesh Police, paid homage by placing a wreath. He was followed by Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali, who also paid tribute.

Leaders of the Bangladesh Police Service Association and the Bangladesh Police Women Network (BPWN) later placed wreaths at the memorial to honour the fallen police members.
