Grameen Danone Foods Limited has been named First Runner-Up in the Social Impact Project of the Year (Small) category at the Bangladesh Project Management Awards 2025, organised by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Bangladesh Chapter.

The award ceremony, held at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, celebrated organisations that demonstrate excellence in project management and contribute to the nation's sustainable development.

Grameen Danone received the honour for its transformative Milk for School Program, implemented in partnership with Heifer International Korea and Heifer International Bangladesh.

Launched in Ullapara, Sirajganj, the initiative empowers local women dairy farmers by ensuring fair milk prices through a dedicated Milk Chilling Center. The collected milk is used to produce Shokti+ fortified yogurt, which is distributed free of cost to 2,245 schoolchildren in the community.

The program has generated tangible social and economic impact by advancing women's empowerment, improving child nutrition, and promoting sustainable rural livelihoods. It also aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Commenting on the recognition, Dipesh Nag, Managing Director of Grameen Danone Foods Limited, said, "We are honored to receive this recognition from PMI Bangladesh. The Milk for School Program reflects our enduring commitment to building healthier communities through collaboration, innovation, and shared value creation."

Since its inception, the PMI Bangladesh Chapter has been honoring organizations and individuals driving excellence in project management, leadership, and innovation to accelerate Bangladesh's progress and sustainable growth.
