Dutch Vice Minister due in Dhaka tomorrow
Pascalle Grotenhuis, Vice-Minister for International Cooperation of the Netherlands, will arrive in Dhaka on Monday(17 November) on a two-day official visit to Bangladesh, sources in Dhaka and the Hague said.
During her visit to Bangladesh, she is expected to meet Chief Adviser of the government Dr Mohammad Yunus and Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam and stakeholders concerned, among others.
Pascalle Grotenhuis is expected to discuss the political situation, preparation of holding next parliament election, business environment, climate change, and water management cooperation and implementing the comprehensive Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP 2100) with Dr Mohammad Yunus.
Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain held a bilateral meeting with Pascalle Grotenhuis, Vice Minister for International Cooperation of the Netherlands on the 1st day of the high-level week of the 80th UNGA in New York on September 23, 2025.
The discussions touched upon democratic reforms, trade and investment opportunities, migration and skills development, climate change, and water management cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their intent to strengthen the long-standing partnership between Bangladesh and the Netherlands, which is rooted in shared values of democracy, sustainability, and multilateralism.
