The Ministry of Cultural Affairs is set to host a special documentary film screening tomorrow, Wednesday, November 12, focusing on the pressing issues of fascism, enforced disappearances, killings, and looting. The event will take place simultaneously at ten locations across Dhaka from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Organised by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the initiative aims to raise awareness and inspire public dialogue through the power of visual storytelling. Alongside the screenings, audiences will also enjoy live performances by the popular band Joler Gaan, adding a cultural dimension to the evening.

The venues for the screenings include TSC, Dhaka University; Jatrabari Park; Rabindra Sorobor, Dhanmondi; Bahadur Shah Park; Mirpur Pallabi Muktomoncho; Uttara Sector 3 (Jamjam Tower); Mohammadpur Town Hall; and Hatirjheel Amphitheatre (Rampura Pranto).

By bringing together film, music, and public spaces, the Ministry hopes to create an atmosphere of reflection and unity — reminding citizens of the enduring importance of freedom, justice, and cultural resistance.
