DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), posted a strong gain in the first hour of the trading session today (18 November), climbing 88 points.

By 11am, the index stood at 4,863 points, marking a 1.86% increase from the previous session.

The blue-chip index, DS30, also advanced, gaining 31 points to reach 1,901.

Of the securities traded in the first hour, 351 advanced, while 7 declined and, 8 remained unchanged.
