Daffodil Computers PLC (DCL), a publicly listed information and communication technology (ICT) company, has been awarded the 12th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence 2024 for its commitment to transparency, ethical leadership, regulatory compliance and responsible corporate governance.

The award was conferred by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) following a rigorous evaluation process conducted by independent technical committees and a jury board comprising national and international experts, including representatives from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The recognition reflects DCL's strong governance framework, disciplined compliance culture and consistent adherence to best practices as a listed company, which have helped build long-term trust among shareholders, regulators, clients and institutional partners.

Founded in 1990 and listed on the stock exchange in 2002, Daffodil Computers PLC has played a pioneering role in Bangladesh's ICT sector. The company introduced the country's first locally branded personal computers and later expanded its footprint through the Daffodil Education Network, which includes Daffodil International University (DIU), DIPTI, Skill.jobs, GoEdu and other digital platforms.

The formal award-giving ceremony will be held on 15 December 2025. Commerce adviser Sk Bashir Uddin will attend the event as the chief guest, while Lutfey Siddiqi, special envoy on international affairs to the chief adviser, will be present as the guest of honour.

Senior officials from Bangladesh Bank, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), ICSB and representatives of award-winning companies are also expected to attend the ceremony.
