Crude bomb attack in Gopalganj, 3 policemen injured
Crude bomb attacks were carried out on the Kotalipara Police Station and the Upazila Parishad in Gopalganj, leaving three police constables injured.
According to Kotalipara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Khandaker Hafizur Rahman, unidentified attackers threw one crude bomb inside the police station and two more at the Upazila Parishad office around midnight today (18 November). The crude bombs exploded moments later.
While no casualties were reported at the Upazila Parishad, three police members, Constable Irin Nahar, Constable Arif Hossain, and Constable Nazrul Islam, were injured in the blast inside the police station. Colleagues immediately rescued them and admitted them to the Kotalipara Upazila Health Complex.
Law enforcement has launched an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
