Pixar has dropped the first teaser for "Toy Story 5", and this time, the beloved franchise is tackling a very modern foe — screens.

Set to INXS' "Never Tear Us Apart", the teaser opens with a delivery arriving at Bonnie Anderson's house — the same Bonnie who inherited Andy's cherished toys back in "Toy Story 3." Inside the package is a frog-framed tablet named Lilypad, who greets Bonnie with a cheerful "Let's play!"

As Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, and the Potato Heads watch in alarm, it becomes clear that the gang's new challenge isn't another toy — it's technology itself. The film appears to explore whether traditional playtime can survive in the age of screens, and whether toys still hold a place in children's hearts.

The teaser also adds a clever layer of irony — after all, the Toy Story characters have themselves been part of a decades-long screen phenomenon.

The upcoming film reunites Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack, alongside new voice cast members Ernie Hudson, Conan O'Brien, and Greta Lee, who voices Lilypad.

Directed by Pixar, "Toy Story 5" is slated for a summer 2026 theatrical release.
