Crude bomb explosions were reported in Dhaka's Dhanmondi and Gulistan areas last night.

The first blast occurred at 8:04pm in front of the International Crimes Tribunal's (ICT) investigation agency office in Dhanmondi. The second happened at 8:50pm in front of the GPO near Gulistan's Zero Point.

Inspector (Investigation) Mohammad Abdul Alim of Dhanmondi Police Station and Husain Muhammad Farabi, Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Motijheel Zone, confirmed the incidents.

Police said in both incidents, two people on a motorbike threw crude bombs and fled the scene. No casualties or arrests were reported in connection with the blasts, police added.

Meanwhile, two separate bus fires were reported in Dhaka and Gazipur.

A fire broke out on a bus near Turag on the Mirpur-Beribadh Road in Shah Ali area around 10:00pm, while another bus was set on fire in the Chakrabarti area of Gazipur's Kashimpur around 9:50pm.

Inspector (Investigation) Motiur Rahman of Shah Ali Police Station and Inspector (Investigation) Siddik Hossain of Kashimpur Police Station confirmed the fires.

Police said they do not yet have information on who started the fires, and no casualties or arrests were reported in either incident.
